Police released video Monday of a robbery at a convenience store in Culver City, and asked the public for help identifying the suspect who made off with the shop’s cash register.

The robbery occurred about 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the ampm convenience store at 11181 Washington Boulevard, near Sepulveda Boulevard, according to the Culver City Police Department.

Surveillance footage released by the department shows a man clad in an Oakland Raiders jacket hand money to the clerk at the front counter of the store. When the worker opens the register to deposit it, the man reached across and inside.

After a brief struggle with the clerk, he eventually grabs the entire register and makes off with the money box, leaving behind the computerized desktop system.

Police said the register had about $800 inside.

The department asked anyone with information about the crime to call them at 310-253-6316.
