Three people were injured Monday in a crash involving five vehicles in Perris.
The collision was reported about 10 a.m. on northbound Interstate 215 near the Highway 74 interchange, quickly backing up traffic for several miles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The entire northbound side of the freeway was shut down while paramedics tended to the injured victims. One person suffered injuries described as moderate, while two others were left with injuries described as minor, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was hospitalized.
