An armed burglary suspect who was thought to be barricaded in a Lancaster residence Monday, triggering evacuations, was not found, authorities said.
Deputies went to the 3800 block of East Avenue K about 5:10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Some evacuations were ordered, and personnel from the sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau worked to contact the suspect.
“After several hours and many verbal attempts … (the) SEB Tactical Team cleared the premises,” the sheriff’s department reported early Monday afternoon. “No suspect was located.”
