Police Friday were questioning a person of interest in a fatal shooting in Anaheim.
Officers responded about 11:30 p.m. Thursday to the 1700 block of West Glenoaks Avenue, west of Euclid Street, where they found the victim down and not breathing, according to Sgt. Shane Carringer of the Anaheim Police Department.
Officers performed CPR on the victim until paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Carringer said.
The name of the victim was not immediately released as investigators were working to notify his family, Carringer said.
Just before 6 a.m. Friday, police attempted to contact a person of interest, but he fled from officers, he said. Just after 10 that morning, police caught up with him in Fullerton and took him in for questioning.
Police were working to determine the motive for the shooting, Carringer said.
