Authorities Monday arrested a motorist who led them on a chase from Los Angeles County to Laguna Niguel.
The chase began about 6:20 a.m. on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue, where the motorist allegedly was speeding, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The compact vehicle went into Orange County, followed by CHP officers. At some point its left front tire was flattened, but the driver kept going, exiting the freeway and going onto surface streets.
Shortly after 7 a.m., officers boxed in the vehicle near Alicia Parkway and Highland Avenue and arrested the motorist.
