A 42-year-old motorcyclist was badly injured in a crash that shut down the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway in the Central City area for more than two hours, authorities said Monday.

The crash was reported at 7:45 p.m. Sunday on the northbound Harbor Freeway south of Exposition Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol Officer B. Watts.

The crash involved only a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle, and CHP officers found the man face down on the freeway when they arrived, Watts said. The victim was described as having major injuries, the CHP reported.

A SigAlert shutting down the northbound Harbor Freeway at Exposition Boulevard was canceled around 10 p.m.
