No arrests were made during a driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint in Jurupa Valley, but numerous citations were issued, sheriff’s official said Saturday.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department conducted the checkpoint between 8 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday in the 9800 block of Limonite Avenue.
Of the 760 drivers screened, 20 people were cited for either driving unlicensed or with a suspended license, according to sheriff’s officials.
In addition, two vehicles were towed.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
