The Pasadena Police Department Wednesday announced the arrest of a 21-year-old man in connection with a double homicide in a park last year, but are still searching for additional suspects.
Officers were sent to the 300 block of Parke Street about 3 p.m. Dec. 1 on reports of a shooting and found three men suffering from gunshot wounds in the northeast section of Villa Parke, police said.
Cristino Avila, 51, died at the scene, and Aaron Flores, 40, died at hospital, according to the coroner’s office. The third man was critically injured, but survived.
Pasadena police said Christopher Paul Hall of Pasadena was taken into custody last Thursday after search warrants were served at various locations in the Southern California area that yielded evidence in the case, but no other details were released.
Investigators asked anyone with information about the shooting to call detectives at 626-744-4511 or 626-744-4241. Anonymous tips may be called to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
