A 21-year-old man was arrested in Riverside Friday for allegedly possessing a large amount of illegal fireworks and suspicion of child endangerment, police said.
Riverside Police Department and Cal Fire Office of the State Fire Marshal personnel served a search warrant about 7 a.m. at an apartment in the 11400 block of Magnolia Avenue, near the Riverside (91) Freeway, according to RPD Officer Javier Cabrera.
Authorities arrested Riverside resident Carlos Saldana Diaz at the scene and seized “a large amount of illegal fireworks” and more than $40,000.
Diaz was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on 90 felony counts of possession of an explosive device and child endangerment, Cabrera said. No further details were released.
