Sheriff’s detectives asked for the public’s help to locate a 73-year-old man who suffers from dementia and diabetes and went missing from Rowland Heights.
John Albert Ortiz was last seen between 11 a.m. and noon on Saturday boarding a bus at the corner of Daisetta and Nogales streets.
Ortiz is Hispanic. He stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He has brown eyes, white hair and is missing some bottom teeth, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
He was last seen wearing a black-and-green baseball hat, a sea blue jacket and light blue jeans, the LASD reported.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call the LASD’s missing persons unit at 323-890-5500. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
