Felony charges were filed Friday against a Ventura man accused of triggering a drug-fueled crash that killed a motorist on the Riverside (91) Freeway in the Anaheim area.

Alexander Deandre Neuson, 36, was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of a drug causing injury, with a sentencing enhancement allegation of inflicting great bodily injury on the victim.

Terence Wingo, 54, of Tustin was killed in the Wednesday afternoon crash on the 91 Freeway west of Imperial Highway.

Neuson was allegedly speeding westbound in a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado about 3:45 p.m. in the Fastrak lane when he veered to the left and crashed into a concrete center median before then veering right and clipping the rear of Wingo’s 1999 Ford Mustang, which was pushed into the rear of a 2021 Tesla, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Tesla’s driver escaped with minor injuries, but Wingo was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP reported.
