A man was in custody Friday for allegedly committing a series of armed robberies in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
Isaiah Manning, 28, was arrested Thursday and booked on suspicion of robbery, with bail set at $200,000, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Manning is suspected of robbing a number of businesses over a 10-day period — including Arco gas stations and 7-Eleven stores — in Norwalk, Whittier, Long Beach, Downey, La Palma, Buena Park, Irvine and Costa Mesa, according to sheriff’s Deputy Shawn Du Busky.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Long Beach, the deputy said.
“He was in possession of a loaded handgun, believed to be the weapon used in several of the robberies,” Du Busky alleged.
