Sheriff’s officials urged residents Wednesday to be on the lookout for a third suspect in the killing of a 60-year-old Cabazon man.
Pedro Urieta-Angeles, 32, of Cabazon, is wanted connection with the death of Ruben Garcia, who was found dead July 31, two days after he had been reported missing. Garcia’s body was found in an open desert area south of the train tracks between Almond and Olive streets in Cabazon, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators said the victim had trauma to his body consistent with a homicide.
Detectives identified three suspects in the case — Gilberto Garcia, 37, of Banning; Victor Diaz Sandoval, 51, of Cabazon; and Angeles.
Garcia was arrested in Jurupa Valley on Aug. 18 on suspicion of murder and he remains jailed without bail, according to inmate records. Sandoval was arrested Aug.26 on suspicion of murder and remains jailed in lieu of $1 million bail.
Angeles should be considered armed and dangerous, sheriff’s officials said. He is described as 5-feet-2-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds and having black hair and brown eyes.
Officials warned the public to not approach Angeles and to instead call 911.
Anyone with information on Angeles was urged to call 951-675-8262.
