Authorities Tuesday identified a Riverside County man who was fatally shot in a parking lot in Hollywood, and detectives continued their efforts to find his killer.

The shooting was reported at 12:49 a.m. Monday in the 5900 block of Sunset Boulevard, near Bronson Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Sayf Abuhamda, 38, of Corona died at scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.

“When officers arrived, they found a victim of a shooting inside his vehicle in the parking lot,” police said in a statement. “The victim may have been robbed.”

No specific description was available of the gunman, who wore a hoodie and fled on foot, police said. The shooting may have involved a drug deal, police said.
