Sheriff’s deputies descended on a La Quinta apartment complex Wednesday in response to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, but no suspects were found.
The situation occurred at the Silver Hawk apartments in the 50- 600 block of Eisenhower Drive.
According to KESQ, sheriff’s officials said the standoff began at 1:14 p.m., and while no suspect was located, the victim was found unharmed. The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun at the victim.
Residents who were evacuated were being allowed back into the complex.
