A motorist died Thursday in a three-vehicle wreck on a bridge separating Riverside and Jurupa Valley.
The crash happened about 2:50 p.m. on the Mission Inn Avenue bridge at Crestmore Road, just inside the Riverside city limits, according to the Riverside Police Department.
Few details were immediately available, but police spokesman Officer Ryan Railsback confirmed that one of the parties involved in the collision died at the scene.
There were also injuries reported, but the number, nature and extent were not immediately known.
Railsback said that Mission Inn would be closed for several hours in both directions because of the crash, requiring motorists to find alternate routes into and out of the city.
