A Brea man was arrested Saturday for allegedly hitting parked and moving vehicles with a hammer and throwing objects at vehicles, then barricading in his home.

Brea police reported on the department’s Twitter page that Nick Papin was allegedly vandalizing vehicles at 10 a.m. in the area of Associated Road and Greenbriar Lane. Papin then barricaded in his home.

Officers arrested Papin about 7 p.m. and he was booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault, felony vandalism and throwing objects at moving vehicles, police said.
