Police sought the public’s help Monday to identity a hit-and-run driver who left a woman seriously injured in the Westwood area.

The woman was walking across South Beverly Glen Boulevard near Wentworth Avenue about 1:55 p.m. Oct. 30 when a gray Hyundai Elantra being driven south on South Beverly Glen Boulevard struck her and fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Paramedics were called to the scene and took the woman to a hospital with serious injuries.

The Hyundai Elantra was described as missing its rear bumper, though no further details were available.
