A motorist was killed early Saturday morning when her speeding SUV struck a curb and she was ejected onto the pavement in Canoga Park.
The crash was reported at about 12:20 a.m. around Victory Boulevard and Owensmouth Avenue by someone who came upon its aftermath, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The SUV was reportedly going eastbound on Victory Boulevard at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred, Eisenman said.
The vehicle kept moving after its driver was ejected and finally came to rest in a planter, she added.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, Eisenman said. Her name was not released pending notification of relatives.
