A 19-year-old was charged Thursday with stalking an ex-girlfriend, threatening her with revenge porn and sending a bomb threat to Garden Grove police.
Kaaran Amansingh Ahuja met the woman online and began dating and lived together for a short time in Los Angeles County, according to Garden Grove Police Department Lt. Mario Martinez.
When they broke up the defendant left the country, but when he returned he allegedly began stalking her and reaching out to her online and making threats, Martinez said.
Ahuja was accused of peeking into her residence and threatening her with revenge porn, Martinez said. He also allegedly emailed a bomb threat to the police department, Martinez said.
Ahuja pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. He was ordered to return to court for a pretrial hearing in the West Justice Center in Westminster.
Ahuja is charged with stalking, three counts of criminal threats, falsely reporting the planting of a bomb, two counts of dissuading a witness from reporting a crime, all felonies, as well as misdemeanor counts of the false report of a criminal offense, peeking into an inhabited building and disorderly conduct regarding the unlawful dissemination of private photographs and recordings.
