Sheriff’s detectives were investigating the shooting death Sunday of a man in an unincorporated section of Gardena.
The killing was reported at 1:17 p.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Eva Jimenez.
The man died at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A motive for the shooting was unknown.
No suspect information was available.
