A 17-year-old boy was behind bars Wednesday for the suspected homicide of a Moreno Valley man in December.

Victor Adrianoamat Guzman, 30, was found unresponsive near the 22000 block of Alessandro Boulevard on Dec. 23, according to Sgt. Richard Carroll of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The reporting party allegedly spotted Guzman leaving a vehicle bleeding and then collapsing on the ground. Emergency responders performed life-saving measures on Guzman, who ultimately died at the scene.

The death was ruled a homicide and deputies have been investigating the incident since. Eventually, the juvenile suspect was identified as being involved, though how he was identified was not disclosed.

The suspect was arrested and is in custody at the Riverside County Juvenile Hall, with a murder charge filed by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
