Four people were arrested when deputies allegedly busted a drug dealing operation, finding a trove of narcotics, methamphetamine, guns and cash in two vehicles in Bermuda Dunes, sheriff’s officials said Sunday.
Deputies responded to a storage facility at about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 78100 block of Avenue 42 as part of a narcotics investigation, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Upon arriving at the location, they stopped four people who were in a stolen U-Haul truck and a black Nissan sedan, officials said.
The suspects were found to be on probation, and deputies searched the two vehicles, where they allegedly found and seized about 300 fentanyl pills, 12 grams of methamphetamine, items indicative of narcotics sales and two loaded 9mm non-serialized firearms — commonly referred to as ghost guns.
Ricardo Nieto, 26, of Coachella; Noelle Markowitz, 26, of La Quinta; Alfredo Nieto, 27, of Coachella; and Noah Roby, 26, of Desert Hot Springs were arrested on suspicion of an assortment of drug and firearms crimes.
Markowitz and Alfredo Nieto remained jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail, while Ricardo Nieto was behind bars in lieu of $100,000.
No inmate information was available on Roby.
Sheriff’s officials said the stolen U-Haul was recovered.
