A man was behind bars and a woman was out on bail Friday after being arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property in Indio.
Jamie Swart, 36, and Briana Moran, 37, both of Indio, were arrested Thursday when the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant in the 83000 block of Wolf Creek Road.
According to Sgt. Jamie Lewis, the warrant was served in connection with a series of thefts in the community. While searching the property, deputies allegedly found stolen property and evidence linked to the thefts.
Swart and Moran were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio. Swart remains held there without bail on suspicion of theft and possession of stolen property. He is expected to make his initial appearance on the charges at the Larson Justice Center on Monday, according to jail records.
Moran, was booked there on suspicion of possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance but posted bail on Friday. She is scheduled to appear at the Larson Justice Center on May 2, according to jail records.
