Authorities Monday identified a man who was fatally shot in the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles, and detectives continued their efforts to solve the crime.

The shooting occurred about 8 p.m. Saturday in the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

William English, 36, of Los Angeles died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.

The shooting was believed gang-related, police said. No arrests were reported, and no suspect information was available.
