A 76-year-old woman with an intellectual disability went missing Saturday in Long Beach and police were asking the public for help locating her.
Yay Cheas was last seen about 11:45 a.m. while visiting family in the 1000 block of Olive Avenue when she walked out of sight, according to a Long Beach Police Department press release.
Family immediately began looking for her, police said. Her destination was not known.
Yay Cheas is described as Asian, 4 feet, 8 inches tall, 120 pounds, with gray hair, brown eyes and her top four front teeth missing. She was wearing a light brown blazer, black pants, something police described as a black “French-style” hat and pink tennis shoes.
She may become disoriented, police said.
