Riverside police investigators Wednesday advised the public to be on the lookout for three convicted sex offenders who allegedly failed to report their whereabouts to authorities under the terms of their parole, and could be anywhere in the city.
Carmella Green, 38, Abel Perkins, 59, and Donald Weaver, 39, are registered sex offenders and known area transients for whom police have been looking in recent weeks, according to Detective Jarid Zuetel of the Riverside Police Department.
Sex registrants are required, under Penal Code section 290, to notify authorities in local jurisdictions when and exactly where they have established residency. The law also prohibits an offender from having contact with minors, other than relatives, as well as imposing other restrictions.
Green is 5-feet-3 inches tall and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen on the streets near downtown, Zuetel said.
Perkins is 6-feet tall and 175 pounds, bald with brown eyes. He is known to loiter along the Santa Ana River bottom, the detective said.
Weaver is 5-feet-8 inches tall and 165 pounds, with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. His most recent booking photo shows him wearing a beard. Zuetel said police don’t have any idea where he might be staying.
Photos of all three are available on the department’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=332547915586205&set=pcb.332548075586189.
Anyone with information about the trio was asked to contact the detective at 951-353-7133.
