A crash between a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department motorcycle and another vehicle prompted the closure of the eastbound Cook Street off-ramp on Interstate 10 in Palm Desert Wednesday.
The crash was reported at about 6:30 a.m. along the I-10 overpass on Cook Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deputy involved in the crash was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, sheriff’s officials said.
At 7 a.m., the CHP requested a long-term closure of the off-ramp and it was not immediately clear when it would be reopened.
