Firefighters knocked down a brush fire in the Beverly Crest area Sunday that burned an estimated quarter-acre of grass.
The blaze which ignited near 9505 W. Hidden Valley Road was reported at 4:08 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
Downed poser lines limited access to firefighters, Stewart said.
Firefighters extinguished the flames in about 48 minutes, she said.
Firefighters will remain on the scene for an additional two hours to do mop-up operations, she said.
No homes were threatened and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
