Two adults and a child were struck by a van while walking along Highway 74 in East Hemet Friday, sending all three victims to the hospital.

The parties, whose identities were not disclosed, were hit just after 1 p.m. Friday where the four-lane corridor intersects Fairview Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol.

The agencies said the two adults were pushing the toddler in a stroller when the van clipped them at an undetermined speed. No other details were immediately available.

The victims rolled into the roadway after they were hit, according to the CHP.

The motorist, whose name also wasn’t disclosed, stopped while witnesses called 911.

Paramedics and patrol officers reached the location a short time later and confirmed the victims required treatment for unspecified minor injuries, according to the fire department.

The van driver wasn’t hurt.

The victims were taken to a regional trauma center for treatment.

No lane closures were required on the highway or Fairview.

CHP officers were investigating the matter.
