A 21-year-old man was shot to death near a Moreno Valley intersection Thursday, but the whereabouts of the shooter were unknown.
Rafael Deluna of Moreno Valley was killed around midnight in the area of Alessandro Boulevard and Frederick Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Ben Ramirez said that patrol deputies were called to the location to investigate reports of a shooting and discovered Deluna suffering from “multiple gunshot wounds.”
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
There was no word on a possible motive, or whether detectives had identified a possible suspect.
