A graduation ceremony was held Friday for 54 new Los Angeles Police Department officers.
LAPD Chief Michel Moore presided over the ceremony, which was held Friday morning at the police academy at 1880 North Academy Drive in Elysian Park.
Among the graduates were 46 men and eight women, who completed 912 hours of training over a course of 24 weeks, according to the LAPD.
