Sheriff’s detectives asked for the public’s help Sunday to locate a woman suffering from bipolar disorder who went missing from Los Angeles County.

Christina Jean Elgin, 40, was last spotted around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday near state road 23000CA-178 in Onyx, in Kern County, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Elgin is white. She stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall weighs an estimated 240 pounds, the LASD reported. She has blue/purple hair, green eyes and a Jameson tattoo on her left forearm with a moon and bats.

She was last seen wearing a gray tank top, gray shorts and red slippers, according to the LASD.

Anyone who has information on her whereabouts was asked to call the LASD’s missing persons unit at 323-890-5500. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
