Anaheim police Wednesday were investigating a death they suspect was a homicide.
A passerby called police about 9:20 a.m. regarding a body found in a field in the area of Phoenix Club Drive and Sanderson Avenue, said Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.
Investigators have not yet determined if the body is that of a male or female, but investigators suspect the person was the victim of a homicide based on trauma to the body, Carringer said.
Anyone with helpful information to investigators was asked to call Orange County Crime Stoppers, which accepts anonymous tips, at 855-TIP-OCCS.
