A fire scorched about two acres of brush and grass near the Marina (90) Freeway in the Del Rey area Monday, but no one was hurt.

Firefighters went to the freeway near Culver Boulevard about noon on reports of the fire burning in the median, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The westbound freeway lanes were blocked while crews doused the flames, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The LAFD managed to contain the fire by about 1:15 p.m., according to the LAFD. No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged by the flames.

The cause of the brusher was under investigation.
