A man was injured Wednesday and some of his property taken during a home invasion robbery in Good Hope.
Three to four suspects targeted the residence in the 22900 block of Beatty Road at about 3:25 a.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The agency said the male suspects forced their way into the house and assaulted the occupant, whose identity was not released.
An undisclosed number of items were snatched, after which the men fled, possibly in a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup, sheriff’s officials said.
Patrol deputies did not find any of the suspects. However, there was blood trail evidence indicting that one might have been injured, according to the sheriff’s department.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, officials said.
It was not immediately clear why his residence was targeted. The investigation was continuing Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said there does not appear to be any link between the Good Hope home invasion and others in Riverside.
Anyone with information about the crime was asked to contact the sheriff’s Perris station at 951-210-1000.
