A home invasion robbery suspect is in police custody Thursday in Diamond Bar and authorities are searching for a second man who is on the loose.
Deputies from the Walnut/Diamond Sheriff’s Station were called at approximately 1:30 a.m. to the 23000 block of Sunset Crossing Road where they learned two armed men wearing ski masks had entered the residence and assaulted the homeowner, punching him several times, according to broadcast reports.
Fox 11 reported the thieves stole approximately $3,000 in cash before leaving the residence
One suspect was detained at the scene and the other remains at large, according to Fox 11.
There was no additional suspect information.
