Two people suffered stab wounds during a fight at a Covina bar, authorities said Saturday.
Officers were summoned at 11:12 p.m. Friday to the Rude Dog Bar & Grill at 114 N. Citrus Ave., according to Detective Oswaldo Preciado of the Covina Police Department. Someone reported a large fight with multiple stabbing victims.
Officers found one victim with a knife wound to the upper body and another victim with knife wounds to the hands, Preciado said. Both were taken to a hospital and had stable vital signs.
The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Baldwin Park resident Matthew Reyes.
Reyes was arrested just after 7 a.m. Saturday and booked at the Covina Police Department where he was held in lieu of $30,000 bail, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
The investigation was ongoing and the case was to be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday, Preciado said.
Anyone with information about the fight was urged to call detectives at 626-384-5620.
