A 40-year-old man was struck and killed by a Metro C (Green) Line train in Hawthorne before sunrise Tuesday.
The collision occurred around 4 a.m. about a half-mile east of the Hawthorne/Lennox Station, which located near Hawthorne Boulevard and Imperial Highway, according to the Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau and Metro.
Luky Em was pronounced dead at the scene.
Metro arranged for shuttle buses between the Hawthorne/Lennox and Crenshaw stations to accommodate rail passengers while an investigation was conducted.
