A pedestrian was killed Tuesday in a collision with a motorcyclist in Santa Monica.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to a call at 3:30 a.m. to the Cloverfield Boulevard on ramp of the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway where they learned a motorcyclist had collided with a pedestrian walking on the freeway, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.

The collision closed all lanes of the eastbound freeway for over an hour.
