A man who was fatally shot during an argument in front of a Lancaster liquor was identified Thursday, and the investigation was continuing into the killing.

The crime was reported about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday to the 1300 block West Avenue I, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Bobby Pollard Sr., 55, of Lancaster, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.

Pollard was found in front of a liquor store with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body, the sheriff’s department reported. Detectives learned that Pollard and another man were involved in an argument, and the other man drew a handgun and shot him.
