A body was pulled from the lake at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood Wednesday, and an investigation was underway.

Firefighters were sent to the stadium shortly after 6 a.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.

Divers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau were also sent to the scene, and began searching the waters, according to the SEB.

A body was later discovered, Inglewood police Lt. Scott Collins told City News Service, but no information was immediately available about the person’s identity.

Authorities were planning to conduct a 4 p.m. news conference at Inglewood City Hall to discuss the discovery, Collins said.

Fox11 reported from the scene that the body was that of a man. According to various reports from the scene, security cameras outside the stadium captured images of a man walking or jumping into the lake around 6 a.m., prompting the call to police.
