Firefighters stopped the forward progress of a small brush fire that broke out in Elysian Park, holding it to one acre.

The fire near 450 W. Solano Ave. was reported at 2:50 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

LAFD Air Ops will conduct one or two more water drops, then firefighters on the ground will continue to mop up any lingering hot spots, Stewart said.

No structures were threatened and no injuries reported, she said.
