Authorities Wednesday sought the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed a gas station near an off-ramp from the Pomona (60) Freeway in Riverside.
Investigators released images from security surveillance cameras that captured the suspect during the June 28 holdup at the Arco station in the 2200 block of Main Street.
Photos show him entering the premises about 2 a.m., brandishing a weapon at the clerk and demanding cash, which the victim handed over, though the amount was not disclosed.
The suspect fled the location moments later, driving away in a gold or silver four-door sedan, police said.
No one was injured.
The suspect was described as Black, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and possibly heavy-set, though his clothing made an accurate weight estimate difficult. He was wearing a green hoodie sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans, black shoes, a black face mask and sunglasses.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Riverside Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Unit at 951-353-7213.
