Sheriff’s detectives asked for the public’s help to find an 82-year-old man who suffers from dementia and is medication dependent.
Jose Auis Fernandez was last seen Sunday around 6:30 a.m. in the 20000 block of Jamison Avenue in Carson, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Veronica Rodriguez said.
Fernandez is known to drive a burgundy Chevy Silverado pickup, Arizona license number 401VRY. He may be headed to Tucson, Arizona, Rodriguez said.
Fernandez is Hispanic. He stands 5 feet, 10 inches and weighs 140 pounds, Rodriguez said. He has white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt and black pants.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call the LASD’s missing persons unit at 323-890-5500 or 911. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
