Police Tuesday sought the public’s help to solve the killing of a man who was gunned down nearly two years ago in the Hyde Park area.
Tyrell Williams, 26, was shot about 7 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2020 in an alley near Crenshaw Boulevard and 58th Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to police, Williams and some friends went to the location “to pay their respects at the Nipsey Hussle Memorial.”
“Williams was shot by unknown suspects,” police said. “The suspects fled the scene south on Crenshaw Boulevard.”
No arrests were reported, and no suspect information was available.
The Los Angeles City Council in March approved a $50,000 reward for information that helps solve the crime.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call detectives at 323-786-5113, or 877-LAPD-247. Tipsters may also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS, or use the website lacrimestoppers.org.
