A 71-year-old man fatally struck by a van in Alhambra was a resident of that city.
Quang Khuu died of blunt force injuries in what was determined to have been an accident, according to the coroner’s office.
The crash occurred about 7:50 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Marengo Avenue and Valley Boulevard, according to Lt. Ruben Soriano of the Alhambra Police Department.
Responding officers tried CPR to revive the man but their efforts failed, Soriano said. Khuu died at the scene.
The driver of the van stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, Soriano said. Drugs and/or alcohol were not considered factors.
