A man stabbed his friend to death during a fight in Long Beach and then turned himself over to authorities, police said Sunday.
Officers responded at about 4:50 p.m. Saturday to the 2000 block of River Avenue, where they saw paramedics treating the stabbing victim, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“Through their preliminary investigation, officers learned a male adult suspect stabbed a male adult victim, following a confrontation between the two,” according to a police statement. “After stabbing the victim, the suspect ran to the security guard shack to report the incident.”
