Authorities sought the public’s help Tuesday in locating a 79-year-old missing woman.
Shirley Jewell was last seen on Friday around 12:30 p.m. on foot in the area of the 700 block of West 84th Place in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Jewell’s family believes she may be in the Huntington Park area, which she isn’t familiar with.
She was described as 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighing around 185 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue sweater, grey pants and white shoes.
Anyone with information about Jewell’s whereabouts was asked to contact the LAPD’s Missing Persons unit at 213-996-1800.
