A fire damaged a discount store in Koreatown Friday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters were sent to the 300 block of South Berendo Street at 10:44 a.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took 85 LAFD firefighters took 20 minutes to “access, confine and fully extinguish (the) fire within a one-story discount merchandise store that was open for business at the time of the fire,” Humphrey said.
